Look! Boldly Painted House Trim

110708-greentrim.jpg Everyday we pass by this small unassuming midwestern home. It sits back off the road and watches the world drive past. There hasn't been a day that's gone by where we haven't wanted to...

stop and take a picture of it. In the mornings it looks far more chartreuse and in the evenings it appears to be more olive. Do you have that one home in your neighborhood that stands out in this fashion?
Does it have a small something that makes it unique to the neighborhood without being over the top? Send us pictures so we can share the small joys of neighborhood living with others!

Unfortunatly There are no houses, just flats in my area, but the ones I would love to show are not ok, need to be worked on.
Imagine a small palace and that's the house:P Maybe one they I'll send the picture and you'll see how in Portugal (where I'm from) some people treat some pearls like that just to earn more money (because the zone it is locaded is awsome and want to sell it one day) without taking care of the house and surroundings.

It brakes my heart, trully*

I kind of like it! Better than plain white trim...

It's so sweet. Just a perfect, proud little house.

I don't know about that color...

But I love seeing the neighborhoods where houses actually stand out. Nothing bothers me more than those "cookie cutter" neighborhoods.

I live in a old historic town; the street has a mix of brick "townhouses" from the early 1900's (some a little earlier) and brick single homes like mine (1890's) A couple are painted, but most are natural old brick; My street runs exactly east/west, and in the evening the west end gets hit by the sun as it sets, and all of the different ages and gradations in the brick show; they go from a seemingly similar color to lovely warm shades varying from a warm coppery gold to terracotta to almost maroon; it only lasts for a few minutes but it really transforms the street

I'm not wild about this particular specimen, but Victorian houses were frequently painted boldly.
