Modernity circa 1952, Mirrored and Reflected Infinitely, 2004 by Josiah McElheny (Hand blown mirrored glass objects, chrome metal display, glass and mirror)
Starting from the outside of the Milwaukee Art Museum with the amazing Quadracci Pavilion structure, we made our way in to see the Biedermeier exhibit (sorry, we couldn't take any photos). We couldn't stop looking at the color studies and wallpapers showcased from the Biedermeier period, so our time with the 20th-century works and other exhibits was short lived. But the permanent and rotating exhibitions at MAM have us wanting to go back already. Opening Jan. 27, Francis Bacon: Paintings from the 1950s.
A few insider's pics from our visit below:

A Francis Bacon exhibit, awesome! I think there needs to be a road trip to Milwaukee soon!
The Milwaukee Art Museum is so underated. I was there last year and was quite surprised by the quality of thier collection. That's not even mentioning the Calatrava wing and all it's goodness.
I went there last month (I think), and loved the American art part (I got kind of lost) and the photo exhibit on the 3rd floor. But you really can't take a bad picture of the lobby, really.
