Look!: Dollhouse Design

Start 'em early.

This simple dollhouse is stuck in among the curbside tables outside Prairie Joe's, an eclectic diner in Evanston. Before becoming design bloggers, we may have overlooked this random choice of toy distraction. Now that we're constantly scouting out design ideas, we zeroed right in.

First of all, it's completely under-furnished, especially with all those guests visiting. The wood paneling could use a face-lift and those blue and yellow curtains are an obvious DIY.

But the foundation seems solid enough and check out that wallpaper on the second floor. Marvelous!

What a fantastic idea for a fun project, and such a great way to repurpose an old, beat-up bookcase. I'm definitely bookmarking this. If I ever actually make one, I'll be sure to send you pics. ;)
