Often times we purchase products for their bells and whistles. When my husband and I purchased these Domesticity Sheds it was for the opposite reason. They don't make us coffee in the morning or even cook us dinner, but what they do - is hold exactly what we need them to (keys, mail, gloves, hats and coats) and look amazing while doing it. Click through the jump for details on these great looking, hardworking landing strip essentials.
The Domesticity Sheds go above and beyond the call of duty of a normal coat rack. They hold things most aren't able to and look fantastic while doing it. Each shed is made from powder coated steel and measure 9.5 x 6.5 x 7 cm.
They retail for $8GBP or $11.31USD, if you live here in the states. They come with all the hardware needed to install them (if they are hanging in drywall) and shipping was super quick! With shipping costs, ordering all 3 houses ran us $48.05USD
Their webstore currently only works with orders within the UK, but you can email info@domesticity.co.uk to set up a paypal transaction that will be here before you know it! We had an email back from Jon from Domesticity within 12 hours and the transaction was less complicated than most Amazon orders! Thanks Jon!
The sheds have held up great to our everyday wear and tear. The second we come in the door, off goes our bag/purse, scarves, gloves, hats, coats, the mail is slid into place and our daily travels are instantly well organized and stylish to boot!
They were a great little investment that should last a lifetime with care!
completely off-topic, but i spotted some vinyl toys... and would love to see more of how you display them. I think I read in another post that you also do customs? pictures please!

I've written about this before, but I still don't see why people need things like this. People seem to think that the use of these items qualifies as "organizing". But, these items just make clutter; they don't get rid of it.
"The second we come in the door, off goes our bag/purse, scarves, gloves, hats, coats, the mail is slid into place... ."
Why not put away the bag/purse, scarves, gloves, hats, coats and mail the second you come in the door? Isn't that what closets and drawers are for? What is kept in closets & drawers if not the abovementioned bags, purses, scarves, etc.?
AT is always harping on home organization, but continues to encourage people to have all this junk on display. Mixed messages is what I read, because these "landing strip" ideas just keep coming. I hope the day comes when AT listens to its own advice and stops with the mess-by-the-front-door suggestions.

Ms Pea - You have a very valid point, assuming you have a homeowner on your hands, or even many apartment dwellers.
My husband and I are in an open floor plan loft where the only wall (there's just 1!) is around the bathroom. I don't have closets, I don't even have a chest of drawers truth be told (more on that later). For us, this IS where our bags, gloves, scarves and hats live. That is their home.
In order to live in a space where your "junk" is always on display means it has to be organized at all times and be rather minimal, otherwise it looks like a college dorm room all over again.
Thanks for the comment, you are so very correct, but in our house, keeping things tucked out of sight isn't an option!

I like the shed hooks. They have a wonderful, colorful, playful quality about them that I find appealing and perfect for a loft or any home with an eclectic style. My only issue is the price, especially the shipping but we all have different thresholds for what we are willing to pay for such items that we find functional as well as aesthetically pleasing.
