Look!: Elvis Is Watching You!

080108-window.jpg While walking down Garfield Ave. in Milwaukee Wi., a basement window caught our eye. In it were these little paper cut-outs staring back at us. More after the jump....

After taking several more walks past the house, we determined that this was, in fact, the only window hosting things of this nature. The rest of the home was large, Victorian in style and had a nicely manicured lawn up front. The quirky nature of the whole thing just made us smile.

We thought this image was fitting for this hot, summer Friday. Although August usually feels like the month that never ends, it's passing also signifies another season gone by. So take time this month, to stop and note the little things around you. 9 times out of 10 you are rewarded with something unexpected and possibly memorable. Before we know it Trick-or-Treat candy will be purchased and Christmas cards will be sent out. Enjoy August, it's all downhill from here.

you could do something along the same line with a frosted window and a silhouette on the inside.

Reminds me of a story in David Sedaris' latest book When You Are Engulfed In Flames, which involved a territorial bird, some of Hugh's portraits, and several LP covers. Maybe they have a territorial gopher problem? ;-)
