How do I say this politely... I but I think that looks quite...ugly. I like movies. A lot. But to me, this is not decorative.

I don't hate it.

The door, or the reels, but not both.

looks unfinished... like a work in progess.

I don't understand the mix of the wooden frame with the reels. to me, there is a disconnect. But I do love movie reels - I have some and don't know how to use them in my new place.

Your set up in the old place looked great Eve. The reels were totally in context in the room - obviously your a movie lover. In this post's picture the reels are just round things with no context to relate to, but since they are so recognizable it leaves us searching for a context, to no avail.

One thing I do like from the picture is the way the owner hung one reel on top of another. It looks like they are on top of a projector - neat!
