Look!: Fresh Paint

After: Quiet Green

This week we did an office paint job, something that's been on our home to-do list for quite some time. We went from Grecian Urn to Quiet Green (Sherwin-Williams paint from our local Clark-Devon Hardware), and we think it will be a much better place to work. (Forgive us, we're not ready to expose the entire room!)...

The previous color was dark and moody with a tinge of purple (said to induce creativity), but it was time for a lighter, brighter, more calming color to help us work a bit more quietly. We also swapped the red curtains for some home-sewn brown ones (thanks to Vogue Fabrics and Mom for the help!). We are now two steps closer to having an office we love.

That's a very beautiful color, thanks for the picture!

Lesley do you have a picture of your new Antique Jade room? I've been thinking about using it and would love to see what it looks like. Vivienne

We painted a small study and our sewing/project/spare bedroom in a similar soothing green, maybe with a bit more blue in it. It's Benjamin Moore Antique Jade, and we love it!

I'm looking for a green for our not-so-bright not-so-small living room. I wanted something sort of sage-y, but the BF complains that those are too grey. Do you think this color would work for a larger space?
