Look!: Garfield Park Conservatory Mosaic Fountain

garfieldpark-faucets.jpgOne of our future household makeover plans is to redo our boring bathroom (vinyl flooring + plastic shower/tub = ugh²). We’re always looking for inspiration and ideas on what to do -- and we love the idea of a bathroom overflowing with tile.

While the color scheme isn’t quite our taste, we found the tile work on this Moroccan-American Friendship Fountain, at the Garfield Park Conservatory, to be quite inspirational. Terra-cotta tiles were shipped from Fez to create this intricate and elaborate piece. If you haven't seen the fountain before, be sure to stop by the Horticulture Hall to see its great tile work in person.
