We've heard that this pair of giraffe sculptures on Elaine St. and Roscoe Ave. are made from old bumpers. We've also heard they are by a local sculptor. Anyone have some hard facts for us?
Yes, it was a local sculptor, whose name escapes me. There are a lot of these animals lurking across the area from Hyde to Highland Parks...

As a graduate of Francis Parker I'm proud to say that Kearney too attended the Clark and Webster school that houses at least a dozen of his smaller works throughout the school grounds and buildings.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe he is the same sculptor who created the Wizard of Oz characters in Oz Park...

Doesn't he usually have a booth at the Old Town Art Fair, too?

LOVE them! However brings to mind how they'd do in an electrical storm. Using them to get out of the rain might not be the best idea, eh?

I live on this street and there is a nanny goat at the opposite end of the street as well. There is a placard on the goat statue with more information. I love walking past these everyday!
