Look!: Hill Farms Homes in Madison

We heard from readers Eric & Kelly back in June, highlighting a tour of the Hill Farms neighborhood in Madison. Although the organized June tour has passed, we thought we'd share a few images of some selected architectural markers in Madison. We know there are several Madison AT readers out there...please identify yourselves! (More pics below.)

When Marv and Ellouise Beatty bought a lot at 4702 Waukesha St. for $3,000, it was one of the only wooded lots in the Hill Farms development, and the services of an architect were included.

In Beatty's home, a spiral staircase leads from the main floor to the lower level.

(Thanks, Eric & Kelly!)

I like the blue couch in the second picture. Anyone have an idea what designer it is or where to find something similar? The semi circular shape seems like it would be really nice for conversation.

Frank Lloyd Wright's work is one of the areas we cover heavily. It's brilliant that you included that photo of the prefab home even thought it wasn't on the house tour. Just had to give you a shout out. Keep up the fantastic job of inspiring apartment dwellers!

Thanks for the nod, heather. My best to all the other Madisonians on this steamy weekend.
