Look!: Joy Circle's DIY Screens

AT reader "Joy Circle" sent in some images of a recent DIY project with adornment in mind. She had this back story to share:

I'm not sure why, but, my sister has given my niece the master suite. Maybe to enable her teenage angst isolation, (she's fourteen). Maybe my sister is saving her own sanity. It's a big space and the niece wants to do it in an India theme. I am so happy she isn't going Goth Chick that I painted a screen for her room to show my support. I do decorative painting as a side job. Since the theme has been adornment I thought I'd share the project. They are painted on some closet bi-fold doors that I've had for years...

Anyone else? Our month of adornment is almost over!

(Thanks, Joy Circle!)

Those panels look fabulous! In fact, I think the teenage girl's best bet is to be subtle with her Indian theme and have this be her standout piece.

Well, if she's going for a Bollywood theme this would work just as well. That's all about coming on strong in every way.

I've been thinking about doing something like this on my floor screen to dress it up. Thanks for showing a really good example!
