Look!: Milk Bottle Sconces at Jeni's Ice Cream

20071112jenis2.jpgDairy experts. On our recent trip to Columbus, OH, one stop we had to make was Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. With eccentric flavors, such as Sweet Corn with Blackberries and Pear Riesling Sorbet, Jeni's has gotten quite a MUST SEE reputation.

After sampling nearly all the flavors and finally settling on the Gravel Road, we were able to focus on our sweet (pun intended) surroundings. Jeni is a genius when it comes to milk and cream but she's also smart with the bottles...

20071112jenis1.jpgThe clean white tiled walls are set off with a couple of these milk bottle sconces. We're guessing that the lights were a DIY project rather than a purchase because the cuts are slightly jagged.

But they look fantastic. Just like the white pepper in her Pumpkin 5-Spice, they're the perfect finishing touch.

MMM I love Jeni's Ice cream, that's why I'm happy to live in Grandview only 5 blocks from one. I also love he tile work on the grandview store.

The Short North location also has some really fun design - slightly different from the Grandview one. I think they have Droog milk bottle lamps in there.
