We've had Eva Zeisel's Classic Century Sauceboat for about a year and a half now. We luuuv this piece for its shape, but to be honest we haven't really found a use for it until now. (It was a wedding gift, and we don't make a lot of gravy.) A couple of days ago, we found the perfect spot for it...

It now sits on our landing strip as a key-catch. It's the perfect shape and size, and we think it will stay here. (We know...we need to declutter some of those keys. We can't even remember what a few of them unlock!)
Our landing strip is made of:
• Eva Zeisel Classic Century Sauceboat, $47.95 at Crate and Barrel
• Lack Wall Shelf, $24.99 at IKEA
• Large Osaka Box, $9.99 at CB2
• Part of the 3-Piece Dinnerware Organizer from the Container Store, $9.99
(The other 2 pieces are in our kitchen.)
Love this piece!! I have been collaborating on my blog with Matthew Mead, and he spoke of his Eva Zeigel collection, so this would be right up his alley!! Come have a look if you get a chance....
Love your blog!!

I love this Eva Zeisel piece and I hate the notion of having it hidden away -- such lovely lines. This is perfect. Now all I have to do is find and/or buy one...

Sarah I have this piece too and I don't think I have ever used it as a gravy boat. I've always thought it was kind of an awkward vessel to get gravy out of. Anyway, we currently use ours to hold lemons and/or limes.
But I'm digging it as a key-catch. Very stylish!

Katie, I never thought about lemons and limes...good idea. Maybe for one of my other neglected pieces that has yet to find the right home. :)
