Look! Outdoor (& More) at IKEA

We booked the I-Go Car and made the dreaded trek to IKEA this weekend, and it wasn't so bad. We went on Saturday evening to the smaller Bolingbrook location and managed to avoid the really crazy crowds. We picked up a few things and spotted some great new pieces, particularly in the outdoor area...

Top: The simple, modern design of the Mynta Hanging Planters makes them look like they cost more than just $25 each.

This year, IKEA's outdoor tables are almost all solid wood and metal. This photo shows the Kvarno line. We picked up a Bollo folding table ($50) for our deck.

We loved these metal shelf inserts, and they're only $5 each. We couldn't find them online, although we think they're from the Rationell Variera collection.

We checked out the new Trollsta Collection and thought it looked best on a small scale. We really liked the little yellow side table, $79.

The acacia wood Bjuron Planters are simple, modern, and inexpensive. A galvanized metal bottom tray keeps them from getting waterlogged.

I'd like that side table more if it had a drawer or two...

I like the Bjuron planters. I bought 2 on my last visit & they make the prettiest window boxes.

I am making my first ever ikea trip this week to buy a bedframe and I think I'm going to grab some of those shelf inserts as well. I can think of a million ways to repurpose those.
