Often times we get too caught up in hanging things level that we forget we can take our framed art or photos below the average man's eye level. See which Midwest Color entrant we spied this cute idea from after the jump...

Zohreh's Anti-Depressant Color, aka Midwest #7 is the home in which this cute low hanging picture idea was seen. If you had a chance, take time to click on over.
Infact, if you've been too busy to check out some of the others, we think now is time for a well deserved break from your day (maybe go crazy and find a delicious beverage). Check out the other Midwest Fall Color Entrants below:
That is the best idea, EVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom did this for my dog (he's an old dog from my childhood) and I thought it was the coolest idea ever!

My cats would try to climb on them bring them to the floor and drag them around until they get bored.

cute. i was thinking nearly the same thing. i have 2 dogs and i was thinking i would personlize their eating spaces with their names or initials painted on the walls...."nakai" or a fancy font of "N" and "duchess" or "D". perhaps only i would i appreciate it tho......m

It's very fanciful. It's as if the residents are providing for little elves and fairies that secretively share their home. I find myself almost wondering if a shoemaker lives here.

DAMNIT. I painted portraits of my two dogs on small canvases to hang over their food bowls. I feel like such a poser now.

lol Kimber...VERY cute idea, but don't worry, you aren't a poser :) If there is a good idea conceived somewhere, chances are it has been conceived of by someone else as well :) It just means that great minds think alike!

Friend of mine framed the dog's graduation certificate from obedience school and hung it at dog eye level.

Don't be sad Kimber! I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me! I bet your badass portraits look 100 times better than the old photos of me and my husband. :-)

Cute. Wonderfuly silly, but very very cute. And, in a good way.

That's pretty funny. Our cat would never look at them because she doesn't seem to focus on mirrors, pictures, etc. But our dog would probably love them. If he didn't chew them first!

i bought few vintage and funny bulldog pictures on eBay, framed them and hang above my bulldog's bed so he can have his "real family" corner. everybody who visits find it hysterical.

I would/should hang a mirror. My dog spends an inordinate amount of time staring at herself in the mirror in my bedroom. She will also use it to "spy" on what we are doing without looking directly at us. She can be a bit sketchy.

it's really silly, but i mean that affectionately. it's adorable to see that little kitten seeming to gaze at the pictures. thanks for the laugh this morning. i needed one with all the economic doom and gloom and job nervousness.

marid22 - recognizing oneself in a mirror is a sign of intellegence... if your dog is spying on you, I'd worry ;)
Not to downplay this whimsical idea, but cats have trouble focusing on still objects at close range. I've been experimenting with placing things like windchimes where they can touch them - ie. decorative cat toys cum kinetic art.

this is SUCH a great idea--as are the windchimes, the pet 'family pics,' etc. i can't wait to do this!
