With fin size ranging in length from 26 to 105 feet, the Brise Soleil wingspan spreads 217 feet at its widest point, wider than a Boeing 747-400 airplane, and weighs 90 tons. Unprecedented in American architecture, the Burke Brise Soleils design is also unique among the moveable structures Calatrava has created in Europe
The museum's website has some great photos, but here are a few of our own. Look for some shots we took from the 20th-century collection later this week!

My wife and I love this place, we visit my mother-in-law in Northern Wisconsin whenever we can and always make a special trip to the Milwaukee Museum. The Bradley collection is phenomenal! We've never seen such a great collection of work in one place. Their collection of modern furniture is pretty impressive too.
The Quadracci Pavilion may well be the country's most impressive building lobby.
Once you are actually inside the building that contains art, you will find a surprising and eclectic collection. While visiting Milwaukee, be sure to stop at Hotcakes Gallery- a wonderful and very approachable gallery that often has ambitious shows from up and coming artists.
Unfortunately there is little else worth doing in the city - it's downtown is desolate and lifeless.
nice photos heather!
