There were three types of seating throughout the restaurant: turquoise benches with a 50's futuristic flair, classic bent bamboo cafe seats, and green-painted wood chairs upholstered in brown naugahyde. Throw them all together in an unassuming hole-in-the-wall, and they just worked. The colors and the mix of seating styles with the almost western architecture (giant oak bar, scuffed hardwood floors, stucco exterior) all just came together in an unpolished harmony.
Have you ever stumbled on happy accidents of decor that just appeal to you? It's an unexpected surprise with results that are tough to replicate when you're trying.
Which restaurant is this?

I must agree with swagdujour - the last photo is blurry to boot!

Maybe the 'highbrow' commentors turn their nose up at posts like this, but inspiration can be found anywhere. Maybe it doesn't inspire you, but it inspires others. Relax.

Hmm, Looks just like my favorite mexican restaurant here in atlanta. The seating is fine, not sure if its blog-worthy.

This is typical of seating found in almost any mexican restaurant anywhere in North America. Not blog worthy at all.

Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder... The food and mood must have definitely concurred to inspire you with this questionable appreciation.
I don't mind ugly and I don't mind mismatch, but... Brown blah cushioned vinyl on fiesta seafoam green tavern chairs may fit when used exclusively and in the appropriate (also blah) decor for some kinda blah trip.
Come on now... It's okay to just say you liked the experience of eating there! Sometimes we need to give our designer eyes a break in order to enjoy life.
