A friend tacked up this sketch pad drawing of her husband—and left it there, scotch tape and all.. Framed only by a striking orange wall, it reminded us that sometimes casual moves can be the boldest.
Do you ever free yourself from mats, frames, etc., if the artist is over ten?

i'm an artist myself and have one charcoal nude i did long ago taped to the wall at its corners with masking tape. for some reason, its appearance is old world and charming.

i think if you have the right surrounding for it, it can work. the orange wall looks great. doing it on my tan walls, not so great.

It's all fun and games until someone peels the tape off the wall and the paint comes with it. Or the drawing tears. If you like the art, at least mount it on foam core or something. Simple = bold can also be computed as impulsive = lazy= mess.

This is a test. For some reason I am suddenly logged in as farnsworthglass and can say anything I want on their behalf! What's going on?

i'm still heather leaf. :-)
by the way, funnily enough, my drawing is against the orange of my hallway paint (similar to the color in the post pic). jmorey, i bet a drawing on newsprint would look great on your tan wall.

It says classical22 on my screen now also, but I posted that comment just above "Sounds great *heather leaf*" and I showed up as farnsworthglass. It happened on another page as well.

And apparently I am now farnsworth again. Maybe I need a shrink...multiple personalities.
