Every time we walk past these two balconies we end up stopping and staring. Maybe it's because they come in a pair, so when we look at them together we imagine a world full of such well-tended balconies everywhere. We know we also love the oversized potted plant on the lower balcony and the classic French bistro furnishings on both...
Here's a closer look:
The glazed blue pots are just perfect, and who wouldn't love those tables and chairs. We do wonder about the open grating of the floor - it almost looks like the chair and table legs could poke through. Seems they don't, though, so, it's official, we think these balconies are pretty much flawless!

Hmm, this almost, almost looks like a typical Chicago six-flat.

I'd probably put an outdoor rug out there just in case I decide I want to be out on the patio wearing a skirt. Yikes.

These look like pretty average balconies to me. I'm underwhelmed.

I agree with jooly. These are cool balconies structurally but vastly underutilized. There is a wide array of sub-irrigated planters that could help make these mini gardens of Eden in the city.
