While taking an afternoon stroll yesterday we happened upon this mailbox. It's on the outside of a large building in the garment district of Kansas City. We always enjoy something out of the norm, but we are stumped as to what the post is made out of? Give us your guess after the jump!




What's weirder to me is that little, old looking mailbox outside a large office building. That, and that Kansas City even has a "Garment District".

looks like structural steel tubing in 2x4---is it solid? in the s-f bay area you can pick up small quantities at a place called naylors--i bet chicago-milwaukee buffer burbs have some small industry suppliers you could pick up a few feet from
