Look! Vintage Copco Bowl by Michael Lax

060308copco1.jpgA friend spotted this while thrifting and just knew it belonged in my kitchen. Familiar with Copco, but not as much with Michael Lax, we dug through Apartment Therapy archives to find that Lax for Copco has come up on numerous bright occasions: Michael Lax lamp, Shayna's yellow tea kettle, and a red tea kettle over at the Kitchn (via eBay)...

If you love the stuff like we do, check for new Copco items on the company's site here; for vintage, we say go eBay.

That looks like vintage enamelware.

If you like this look (I do for some things), just search E-bay for enamelware, you'll get more hits.

I've used an enamelware tub as a an outdoor planter. I "ruined" it by drilling holes in the bottom for drainage so I could hook it up to my drip system. It has red geraniums, white bacopa and blue lobellia growing it it. OK it's kinda corny but it's a country looking tub anyway so I figured why not. It ended up being a nice look, at least I thought so.

Enamelware pitchers, especially French ones, are very popular for use as cut flower vases. I was shocked to find out how much they sell for on E-Bay!
