Look!:Wooden Flowers

070908woodflowers.jpg

We attended a craft fair this past weekend (not the cool hip Renegade Type, but the old ladies wearing cat sweaters that macrame type). It was a whirlwind of scroll saw name plaques and bizarre things to put in your yard. Click through the jump to find out more!

We came across these wooden flowers that were made with great skill while walking around. They were beautiful, smelled fantastic and more importantly were made from fallen wood from the storms that the midwest has seen so much of in past months.
After some quick google searching, we did come across a few other places to purchase such things.

"Click through the jump to find out more!" led me to think there would be more photos of item descriptions, not the very end to a brief blurb.

I've seen wooden flowers for sale at a local store during valentine's day. You can have them sprayed with whatever sent you like, but the ones I bought seemed really really cheaply made. The petal part of the flower chipped and broke easily and the core was made of Styrofoam.

I think the ones in the post are a good buy if they're not the same pos imported from China ones I ended up buying...

My friend used these at her wedding and no one could tell it wasn't a fresh-cut floral bouquet. Much greener than using flowers that last a day, and it will last a long, long time.
