2006-12-04-spertuslogo.gifWe got a tip from Beth last week - she says, "For those apartmenttherapy.com visitors looking to decorate their pads for upcoming Hannukah holiday (starts at sundown Friday Dec. 15) they might check out the Bariff Boutique of Chicago's Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies."

2006-12-6-menorah.jpgA few clicks later we discovered that the shop is filled with festive goods and Hanukkah essentials from menorahs of all styles and size ($15 and up) to dripless candles and chocolate gelt.

Pictured at right is the Olive Branch Menorah ($180), by Michael Aram.

The online shop has a specific Hanukkah section, making shopping for next weeks holiday easy, but there is much more to be found for year round gift giving, celebrations and everyday life throughout the Bariff site. Gifts for the Home,Traditional items, Kitsch, Music and Books all have a place.

We were especially happy to see that they have the (amazingly fun) Bar Mitzvah Disco book, one of our favorites...

(Thanks, Beth!)
