Be Here Now

071608-bhere99.jpg Tucked away on the "Square" (if you're a local), or downtown area of Independence Missouri, lies Be Here Now, a Home Decor and Design Center. Click through the jump to see the sea of pictures that attempt to do this store some justice.

Be Here Now has recently moved into an 8,000sqft space and have taken a commanding design presence in the Kansas City Metro. Although they are located in a suburb of a city not always renowned for it's designers, their reputation holds it's own.

They offer help for all aspects in the home, carrying one-of-a-kinds, reproductions and custom designs. The store also has a work area with a wide variety of design books, catalogs and design inspiration to help bring your room together.

071608-bhere3.jpg The mix of old world accessories with modern design makes you feel at home and at ease to shop around.

Interior decorator, Kenda Martinez and decorating consultant, Ava Gooden, are fantastic at coming up with unique ways to work in new pieces with what you already have.

This coffee table was a showstopper. The combination of the heavy metal caster with the reclaimed wood would work well in many situations.

The "price tags" for their pieces are all made from paper grocery sacks. Each one was hand cut, crinkled, and written on. It reflected their VERY reasonable prices and felt down to earth...not to mention Earth friendly.

Be Here Now is a great place to stop in on your lunch break and pick up a perfect present for any special occasion. From Brides and Grooms, to Hostess gifts for the woman who has everything, they have you covered.

071608-bhere2.jpgTheir new space allows furniture pieces to take front and center for all to see.

071608-bhere6.jpg The all concrete table was a a fun surprise at the back of the store. It had a great warmth for being made of materials that are traditionally used to be "cold" in a space.

071608-bhere92.jpg
Even though the store is filled with big name designer items, the mix of handmade artisan pieces brings things back down to earth.

The store is more than easy on the eyes and pocketbook both; it would be time well spent to come in, take a seat and see what it can bring to your home.

That curl-leg table has been taunting me for years, ever since it slipped through my fingers at Jayson Home & Garden. I crave it so.

I have looking for just the curl-legged bench/table myself. Does anyone know where to find it on-line perhaps? If so, PLZZZZ... do tell. I'm smitten.
