We made the trip to Prime Outlets at Pleasant Prairie last weekend, off I-94 halfway between Milwaukee and Chicago. Although most of the stores are apparel outlets, there were some good home stores including a Restoration Hardware, Bombay Outlet, Le Creuset and even a Tupperware Store (we thought those faced extinction long ago).

The big winner by far was the Restoration Hardware Outlet, with up to 70% off furniture, bedding and bath. We scored a king-sized Classic Cotton Blanket (pictured above) for $40 - half the clearance price listed on their website! The bedding selection was extensive and worth the trip if you need to stock up on linens.

We regret skipping the Le Creuset store, although we avoided the temptation of discount kitchenware we don't need. One tip: Most stores offer a mix of retail and discounted items, so it's a good idea to check the website for special offers before making the trip.

I'm personally not crazy about Restoration Hardware's linens. However, at the same mall there is a Ralph Lauren store, which are my favorite, with a variety of colors, patterns, thread counts and prices you can't go wrong!

I love that outlet mall. I usually spend hundreds on clothes while there, especially now with the new additions. I'll have to run throu RH and see what I can find in the linens section.
