NeoCon 2008: Christian Liaigre at Holly Hunt

2008-06-25-ChristianLiaigre_AspreSofa_back.jpgOne of the most elegant lines featured at NeoCon was Christian Liaigre for Holly Hunt. Very luxe materials, with colors and lines reminiscent of the earlier part of the 20th century, it has a flavor of Hollywood glamor. Jump below for our favorites:

The stuff is gorgeous. I'm just having trouble wrapping my mind around the company name: NeoCon.

FWIW, "NeoCon" is the annual furniture/finishes trade show held in Chicago in early June (and possibly other cities, too). It's *quite* the extravaganza, and if you can handle the 20-minute waits for the elevator and hordes of schmoozy sales reps, it can be kinda fun to walk through. (My hat is off to anyone who can handle all 3-4 days of it, tho--eeesh!)

Back on-topic: I'm REALLY charmed by the Connetable desk--it's one of the few original takes on a desk I've seen in, like, a bazillion years.

Too bad neither designer's website gives any more info on the line. :(

The aspre chair is very nice.
I know what you mean about the name, makes me think neo-conservative.

The challenge here is finding simple clean lines, well made furniture..its easy to find beautiful furniture that cost a fortune..Holly Hunt would not be for most AT consumers.

Breathtaking!
Now someone is going to post furniture from Ikea that looks like Liaigre.

MCNicole, Liaigre's furniture is one of those things that if you have to ask how much it is, you might not be able to afford it.
I have done a little research on prices lately because I am trying to come up with a bid to refinish a house full of sunbleached Liaigre furniture.
The only price I have found on a desk of his online is 12 grand or so.
