Contributing writer wanted!
AT:Chicago is happy to announce that we are adding to our team. After hitting our milestone one-year anniversary this month, as well as our millionth site visit, we are excited for what year #2 will bring. And we are hoping it brings us a fantastic new contributor!
We are looking for an added element to AT:Chicago...posts that you don't already see on the site each day. And we just know you are brewing with stellar ideas.
Details below:
If you are interested in working with the Chicago editorial team, please send an email with "CHICAGO CONTRIBUTOR" in the subject line to chicago(at)apartmenttherapy(dot)com. Please remember that we pay for all work done for AT but that these are NOT full-time jobs.
Please include the following in your email:
-name and address
-how you found AT
-what you do in the offline world
-2 amazing short sample posts with photo(s) that you think would look great on the blog. Remember, we want to see something not already (or often) covered on the site. DIY projects, How To's, Interviews with industry professionals, a video...we are open to your suggestions!
Deadline: Tuesday, May 1.
Oh, snaps, ya'll. This is CRAzY! I honestly just thought (yesterday or day before) what a good opportunity you have here at AT and how cool it would be...

hi Linda (and everyone else)...
yes, you should be in or around Chicago to apply. even though ideas and inspiration can reach far and wide, we really want to keep the AT:Chicago team as local as possible.
any other questions? ask us!
thanks,
heather and janel

Where can we apply for the European AT site? I'd love to write for that!!! Greek representative here! LOL
Chicago is a city I love, the only one I've been to in the US.

Oh well! Maybe at some point there will be an AT Boston? I think you'd find a vibrant readership and bloggers up here! Good luck with your search and congrats on your 1M hits!

I remember reading an ad for a job opening a year or two ago that stressed the importance of being online most of the day to receive emails and chat, etc. Is this an important part of this blogger position as well? I'm unable to be online at work but I have a few piece ideas I'd like to submit. Thanks!

jenniejen,
Daytime online access is always helpful, but is not required for the contributor.
Thanks for asking!

Are you looking for a weekly/recurring post?
If so, should the 2 sample posts be along the same topic (example: 2 different "PlantThearapy" posts)? Or are you looking for 2 samples, each with compleetly different topics?
