apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Comment Trouble in IE?: Try This

We're experiencing some comment trouble in IE. We've fixed it, but the problem will persist for a little while unless you clear your cache yourself. To do this, simply go to the URL up top in your browser window and add this to the end:

?bustcache=1

so it looks like this: "http://www.apartmenttherapy.com?bustcache=1"

Then refresh and it will clear itself and enable comments again. Sorry for the problems!

I'm finding errors on nearly every article still unless I bustcache each article as needed. Is that normal?

K T G-
I just did a single bustcache from the main page and it's working fine everywhere for me now: www.apartmenttherapy.com?bustcache=1

Thanks janel, but it still is a bit funky on articles older than the fix. Some articles had no trouble throughout the day, but some comments waiting in my brain, I went back and the page was still not right. Found I could fix it by pasting the "?bustcache=1" to the article itself if I was determined to, but uh.. easier not to comment on them now and just move on, I guess.

figured this might be a good spot to mention another problem.

quite often i comment on a post but the number never shows there is a comment. i come back later on and the number still says 0, so i check it and my post is still there, sometimes others have posted too with no number increase. I think it happens on the unplugged site more then the normal AT but i still see it from time to time.

Is this a testament to how much time I spent on AT? At work, no less, during any moment of downtime, or as momentary relief from high-stress deadlines. *sigh* I need therapy to tone down my AT addiction.

i think anyone viewing apartment therapy should at the very least be using firefox and i'm not against having a mac only community.

haha.

i'm kidding... but seriously. who uses explorer? are you on dial up too?

I was posting from work. I haven't had a lot of supervision lately and not a lot to do there but "hold down the fort". :) I have firefox at home and I'm home now.

If only my employer would switch to Firefox... But then I suppose I should be working...
