DWR: Down to Earth Delivery Prices...finally!

DWR has always had nutty-expensive delivery charges. Lately, we've been advocating waiting for a "free delivery" special which they have been holding now and then. Happily, that issue seems to be in the past as they have "significantly reduced" their shipping costs. Standard delivery now ranges from $20. to 99., for all items $5000. and under. See below for a chart:

We had the feeling that this change would have to come sooner or later, we are just happy it turned out to be sooner.

Yay! About darn tooting time! Jeez, their shipping was seriously redonkulous! Yes, that's right, REDONKULOUS!

Te extra penny that puts you at $5000.01 is going to cost you big time, though. Shipping for $5K is $99, but shipping for $5K plus a penny is $250. Ouch.

Awww, and I just got my sofa from them last week. At least they threw in a coupon so it wasn't that bad.

I think if you can afford to spend $5K on furniture, $250 on shipping isn't gonna hurt one bit.

yeah, over $5000.00 it costs 5% of the total. I think thats pretty reasonable.
