We heard from a local magazine editor yesterday who is looking for great Chicago apartments to photograph and feature in a future issue. We think they came to the right place. The rest is up to you...
Here is their pitch:
"A major local magazine is looking for unique living spaces to feature in an upcoming issue. By "unique," we mean one-of-a-kind and full of character—not something designed by an interior designer, but something put together by you that tastefully, creatively says you. If interested, please e-mail me by this Thursday at 5pm with a description of your place and 5 low-res shots of your home and, if possible, please note which is your favorite room and why. Thank you!"

awesome!
Damn! I shoulda moved to Chicago instead! No seriously, that is so cool.
Interesting. I'm a Midwest-based freelance shelter writer (and loyal AT reader), and am always looking for homes to pitch to regional and national magazines. Feel free to send images my way. amg_73@yahoo.com.
AMG...
I nominate you as the subject for an interview style post on AT:Chicago! (do they take nominations? lol) I know I would be very interested in hearing how one becomes a freelance writer for shelter magazines...what the publications and homeowners are like to work with...how you find locations, what it takes to qualify as magazine-worthy...etc. It sounds like fun and fascinating work!
