1) sleep
2) drinking tea and talking about friends and family who we'd just seen
3) looking at photos
4) sleep
5) cleaning out our kitchen cabinets and reorganizing our home
Although Josh and I had already been living together, there was a newfound energy post "I do" that made us want to clear out and simplify. We are fairly regular purgers, but knowing that new items would be entering our home (and that we had never truly consolidated our belongings all the way - we had so many dishes!) made this job really refreshing. We plan on making a huge drop-off at The Brown Elephant this week.
Anyone else going through a life jolt that makes you want to change things up? A move? A baby? A wedding? Fall doesn't give you the natural push for cleaning and purging that Spring does, but we love to start every season with a little bit of fresh air and a clean slate.
Here's to Fall Colors and a calming slowdown to 2008. We hope to see you on Thursday at CB2's contest wrap party!

Drinking tea and dozing are two of the most important things in life, especially when you've got someone lovely to do them with. Congratulations!

Mmmmmm!!!! Sounds like a lovely and perfect week!! Congrats you two!!!
My husband and I have been house hunting for a big portion of this year and although we haven't found the place yet, we've started to purge and organize so that when we do move we don't have to bring all that extra crap with us. And hopefully we'll keep at it and it will make the move as stress-free as a move can be.

boy and i have spent the past few months purging and purging in preparation for our new family addition. the AT Cure definitely helped us to get started (although i'm sorry to say we still haven't gotten around to the finishing touches of hanging our artwork.) i did my yearly cleaning out of clothes and shoes when switching over the rooms. cleared out a bunch of other random things....although i really feel like all i did was move things from one closet down to our storage closet. it's such a fantastic feeling!
