Win a Date with IKEA and Pavement

Do you love 90s rock band Pavement as much as these karate kids? (Play the video to see their stellar version of "Stereo.") If you do, you might want to enter the "Brighten Your Corners" contest, where you can win a $500 IKEA shopping spree and chow down on Swedish meatballs with a band member...

To enter the contest, sponsored by Matador Records and Imeem, you have to upload a photo of your apartment and let them know why you should win. Contest details are here, and entries are being accepted through December 6th. The contest commemorates the upcoming re-release of 1997's Brighten the Corners LP featuring the snappy song, "Date with IKEA."

I liked the one with the Expedit (?) dividing a big room and nothing at all on one side of it.

The first band I toured with was Pavement. I wish they'd offer a contest to have an Ikea adventure with someone I'd have no chance in hell of meeting, like John Krasinski. MMM. John Krasinski lounging on a Malm. Better yet he can come home to sprall out on mine.
