This is perfect! A friend of mine has been looking for some odd "European" lightbulb that no one in Chicago carries. He's nearly at the end of his rope so thanks for saving his sanity.

Kennedy Electric in the West Loop carries the largest selection of bulbs in the Midwest. It is a funky place, like stepping into the 1940's when you go there, but they have almost everything, and if it isn't in stock, they can order it.

Thanks, Devyn. I'll tell my friend to check with Kennedy Electric before venturing out into cyberspace. Buying the lighting fixture online is what got him in this pickle to begin with!

Thank for the info on Bulborama.com. I just ordered some CFL's and some Long Life Halogen Par lamps for my house. They have longlife bulbs on the site you cant find in stores, what a great find. Thanks!

I've been tired of bulbs I get at home depot burning out every couple months. This is a great site. They have 20,000 hour bulbs I've been trying to find for years plus better halogens I'm going to use in my recessed cans. Good stuff.

Good lighting store. I purchased some spiral compact fluorescents a couple weeks ago. You can see by the construction they are top quality. I recommend their products and will buy more.

Thank u for the recommendations here. I was waiting to post back until I tested the bulborama products. I bought cfl's and some long life decorative bulbs for my home and office. I love them and I noticed right away they were much better than anything I found at local stores. Also I found out they provide the lighting for several property management companies in my town and heard excellent reviews from the managers there, so all in all this is a hidden gem of a company not too many consumers know about with wonderful products. I'm saving tremendous energy with the new cfl's and wish I switched long ago.
