2006-06-26-curran.gif Curran is a catalog/online retailer that started as a flyer mailed to 20 people in 1996. Based in Seattle, it has grown based on a simple idea. When you shop with Curran, the products are shipped directly from the manufacturers and therefore, you get a good value on high end stuff.

2006-06-26-currantable.JPG Maxwell has blogged them before, but we wanted to include them again, this time with a focus on their outdoor items. We have been looking around for resources during Garden Month for patio and poolside furniture and we think Curran has a better than average selection.

They have pieces from Barlow Tyrie, Emu, Rausch, and Lister in addition to their own lines. There is plenty of contemporary design as well as more traditional outdoor styles.

2006-06-26-curranlounge.JPG The Bahia line is made of woven ty-flex. It is strikingly unlike most outdoor furniture in every respect design-wise except for the all-weather materials used. ($523. - 3917.)

Emu makes the Open dining tables and chairs (above). We like the teak/aluminum combination. ($332. - 1035.)

The Palms Collection by Lister is pretty glamorous - it would look at home indoors as well. ($564. - 1714.)

Pictured by the pool (above) is the Virage lounger by Barlow Tyrie. Options include a side tray and cushions. ($1182.)

Shipping is free on both indoor and outdoor furniture in the continental U.S.

I've been looking for an outdoor furniture set that I saw press on about two years ago. The seat bottoms lifted up so you could store the seat cushions inside. Now that I'm ready to use my deck, I can't find this anywhere. My house is tiny, so having the pile of cushions on the porch at night is a drag. Does anyone know who manufactures or sells this set?
