Could I add a shout for Bombast in Vancouver? I got my Cherner armchairs from Bombast - nice people and nice to be able to sit on the chairs in the showroom before deciding.

I can't say enough good things about this store. I bought a Componibili, an Eames rocker and a Saarinen table there and everything was tip-top. If they have to order your item, they will keep you informed by email every step of the way and they will do everything to accomodate you when delivery time comes.

If you live alone and can't install the big ticket items by yourself, get the White Glove delivery service. I used it for my table and the local Montreal company GR hired to get my item home, unwrap it, install it and take away the crate was fantastic.

They also have nice sales - 10% off on Kartell last week, for example. I'm waiting for a Vitra sale to buy new dining room chairs.

I used to live in Victoria and can say that this is a great store. However my wife and I now live in Whitehorse YT and ship everything... Gabriel Ross will do free shipping on in Stock items. The may charge you for shipping special order items. An example would be Eames chairs. They carry one or two colors and the rest are special order. Call and confirm before you order to avoid surprises.

They had to order mine and I didn't have to pay for shipping. :) But I did have to wait, of course.
