Oli

20080602oli19.jpgThis UK-based webstore may be predominantly dedicated to wearable fashion yet Oli should not be overlooked in terms of decor. As we browsed their Home & Leisure section, one word came to mind: glamor. If you're looking for anything with a little panache or something metallic, you're in the right place.

20080602oli14.jpgWe love their (small) lighting section. Oli has a heavy slant toward the jangly and frilly but some of their curvy, monochromatic lamps also make us gasp. We so badly want to see the gold Silky String Beaded Pendant lamp (on right) in person!

20080602oli18.jpgThe point we've driven home is that Oli is great for flash, as seen in the Renoir Bedlinen (now on clearance). Yet we need to also point out that they've got their fair share of subtle. One of the first things that caught our eye was the Paris line of bedroom furniture. With the high-gloss white finish and straight lines, these pieces could fit, with equal ease, into a sultry boudoir or any minimalist scheme.

Nice store. There are a number of interesting home stores in the UK. Check out Graham and Green as well.

When design takes priority, the result is often strange closets.

They have a number of nice items. I just tried to order a lamp, but it appears that they only ship to UK addresses.
