2006-04-17-techlogo.jpg Technology in the home is part of everyday life - and it's getting complicated.

2006-04-17-gadget.jpgWireless routers, wall-hung screens, surround sound theater systems - all add to the user experience but are not always a simple plug and play set up.
Getting it all operating properly is just one of those things - for some it is simply an item on the to-do list and for the rest of us, something to be feared...

Oh - and don't even get us started about the wire tumbleweeds and how horrible they look! A local Chicago service can come to the rescue for your aesthetic (the wires or sound quality) or practical (just not working!) issues. The service won an award from consumer group Angie's List and has an in-depth website. We like that you can use their online estimate tool to assess your needs and get an idea of the cost.

We think this is a worthwhile service, especially for those who really would benefit from new technological advances, but are holding back for fear of messing with their current set up. We'd love to hear from anyone who has used Tech Connectors or a similar service - comment away!

These guys are excellent. Very professional, very affordable, on time and on budget. I had them install distributed audio, outdoor audio and hang a flat screen. We have been very happy in all aspects. They even integrated older components so we would not have to buy all new stuff to get this done.

In a world of poor service at the home, these guys are showing that it can be done right.

The TechConnectors seem to know what they're doing and the installation is clean. However, if you have any residual problems, good luck getting them back.

I had them do some work and we had some issues. However, they did finish and it wasn't bad. A few months later I had some issues and called them to see if they could help. They never called me back.

I had tech connectors install my TV in my new house and they sold me a universal remote. I couldnt get my HD cable box in time, and when it arrived a week later they came out to re-program the remote at no charge. I am very satisfied with their service and have since recommended them to a coworker.

Tech Connectors just recently completed a full house wiring to include audio, video, digital in our home. They have been very professional and incredibly responsive. The installation is complete and working great. The way they set it up, all components work together and is simple to operate. As we have questions or small problems that require tweaking, they respond immediately and have someone out within 24 hours or a few days at most. We will definately recommend them and use them for future work.

The Tech Connectors installed a retro wired, very complex distributed audio, video & data system in my 2500 square foot home. There are speakers, plasma TV & keypads in every room & i'ts all wired to a central rack in a closet. They did a fantastic job. With a system like this there will be issues from time to time. But, every time something acts a little funky they come out & fix it at no charge. I hghly recommend this company to every one. Their price was better than their competition & the service is that of a high end botique shop.

Tech Connectors evaluated my new home and put together a plan for audio/visual on the main floor and outdoor patio. Their installation was sleek and sounds great. The installers were very professional and not disruptive. I would highly recommend this company. Get away from the "patchwork" approach and take the plunge into an integrated Video/Audio system. I am in the process of finishing my basement and will have them come back to analyze the space. The money I invested on the first installation is paying for itself in less frustration. I'm down to one remote and it's so easy to use, even my 7 yr. old can work it. The only problems I have had are with Comccast, not Tech Connectors. Go for it!
