We got the email from Grace today - her design*sponge shop is open!
Here's the scoop: "Every piece you see in the D*S Shop was designed exclusively for the shop in a limited-edition run and will sell for no more than $100 (before shipping). In addition, all D*S Shop goods are available for shipping across the globe.
I wanted this shop to help make great design available to everyone everywhere, so by keeping prices low and offering international shipping I hope to do just that."
New products and designers will be showcased at the beginning of each month. The inaugural line up features six independent desingers. There are block printed pillows by Jenny Sauer ($80 - 90.) and a salt pepper and olive set by Karin Eriksson ($100.).
Grace also includes hand printed wood blocks by Lena Corwin ($38-78.), prints from port2port press (set of 5, $27.), little hobknobs ($32 - 73.) by Amy Adams at Perch Design and a table runner ($60.) from Paula Smail of Henry Road.
The artists featured on the Design*Sponge shop will take home 100% of their profits for all sales and 10% of the ad revenue will go to charity (this month it's the Humane Society).
