I'm working on revamping my bar area and was wondering if anyone has ever screwed a stemware channel rack into an ikea lack shelf (or expedit bookcase)? Do you think it could support the weight or would the screws just rip right out?

moni-ka-
I've had coathooks screwed into my exbidit for going on 6 months, holding heavy coats and heavy towels. The trick is making sure the area you're drilling into is near the corners where the material is closer to solid... it'll rip out if you drill through part of the hollow parts.

Hope I helped.

Does anyone have a suggestion of where I can get a mirror cut to size to use as a table top?

I am looking into having a retractable screen installed on my balcony door. Has anyone installed one if these? If so, who did you use? The only problem I am running into is finding one that will match my anodized aluminum window frames.

Can anyone recommend a good place for professional wood furniture restoration in Chicago? Any place that specializes in mid-century pieces would be great. Thanks!
