i know this has nothing to do with color but...just adopted 2 cats and looking for effective cleaning options. just bought method omop (green swiffer alternative) and considering a cannister vacuum...right now, I have nothing and past with hand-held vacs is always disappointing...any ideas, suggestions? i have hardwood floors and area rugs - heard cannister vacs help with dust instead of sweeping which stirs it up in the air, only to settle again shortly there after...

i know it's the common rant when people ask about vacuums, but if you can, i say go Dyson. I know there will be a ton of nay-sayers. But it works for me. I have a corgi that never stops shedding, along with a with with long hair. We pull a softball sized clump of hair out of the dyson about every other day. We have the purple one. I got it for an amazing deal, and the only reason why we have one... But if you can afford it, go for it, or try to find a good deal and it is totally worth it.

madge, what kind of floor do you have?

I have hardwood floors and our Roomba works just great. We got the Pet Series Roomba, and it picks up litter, hairballs, etc... the bonus for me (besides not having to vacuum myself) is that it gets under my low furniture the way no vacuum I've ever seen could, especially not a big bulky one.

Did I just totally miss Monday's Midwest Cure post? Am I going crazy? Was there even supposed to be a post Monday?

Ack.

Not on Monday because for some it was a holiday. I think the first one was yesterday (Tuesday).

Sorry for it being a day late... with the holiday some schedules were altered a bit! Look for them all to be on a Monday from here on out!

Did anyone else have problems submitting their Fall Color Contest entry. I tried to twice - and though I received two confirmation emails - I also got a screwy error message. Still haven't seen my place, so I'm guessing it didn't go thru. Help? Anyone??

Moni-ka in ky, it took a solid week before they posted my entry for the fall color contest. If you got a confirmation email, you should be okay and hopefully you will see it soon.

OK, I know they're still posting, but is there a reason why there are twice as many East entries as compared to all other brackets? I know the East Coast is big, but come on, the Midwest isn't small! Just wondering how this works. I'm new to the whole color contest thing.

Hi Madge124 - I have the Miele Orion and love it. I have two cats with hardwood floors and carpeted stairs. I purchased the separate motorized handheld tool for upholstery. Best Vacuum on Lincoln carries Miele and the guys there offer excellent service.

Sincerely,
Darla
