We do the roundups each weekend of the previous weeks top posts and during the week we publish all new posts.

okay... i can use some help with my dining room.

i love mixing chairs and tables, i wanted the ikea bjursta table (affordable and extendable) with white bentwood chairs for a little contrast. i found someone selling the large bjursta (oak veneer) and 4 henriksdal (parsons chairs) with beige covers for ridiculously cheap, so i couldnt pass them up- $200!

anyone have suggestions for making this look less boring?
we want to either add 2 more chairs or a bench, anyone have suggestions for that?

I like the roundups because I don't get a chance to stop by every day.

I have an area rug to be cleaned. Any recommendations, esp. in western Cook County? Thanks.

I hope this wasn't asked recently...

Anyone know where I can find furniture legs for say a book case and a computer amoire? No luck at Home Depot and I can't get to IKEA easily. Any place in the city anyone can think of?

I just got a puppy (5 months old, medium sized, has vaccinations and rabies shot) she's really sweet. I walk her a lot, at least an hour everyday and I'm trying to find some dog-friendly activities to do in the winter. I live in the NW suburbs, but wouldn't mind traveling if there was something fun to do.
