I just found this blog and I'm absolutely in love with it. I'm looking for a great apartment in Chicago as I plan on moving up in a few months. I'd like to live around Wrigley Field because I love that part of town. If anyone knows of a place that will be open in October, let me know, thanks. Also speak up if you know another great neighborhood in North Chicago that might suit my needs.

Anyone have an LG washer/dryer combo? I started to install an electric washer/dryer in my condo, but due to plumbing/venting issues, am thinking I make backtrack on the whole thing and get an LG combo.
My question is, I already have the water hookups for the washer, so can I hook the LG up directly to this, and not have to connect to the sink every time I use it?

LG should have a technical support number you can call. They will be able to provide you with professional advice after they know what kind of electrical and plumbing situation you have.

Has anyone used the magnetic paint before? I am about to paint the inside of my pantry door and would love any tips and tricks. I plan on painting the magnetic paint, then blackboard paint over that.

I thought I'd share an example of ridiculous real estate in Chicago.

This has nothing to do with design but I just wanted to post that I am selling a 3 day all inclusive pass to all of DisneyWorld. It expires at the end of July so if you are heading down there or know someone that is this is a bargain at $175. An adult pass to each part of DisneyWorld is $60 so add it up and you'll see how much you'll save with the one I have.

We have magnetic paint on part of a wall in our kitchen. I put on the magnetic paint and then covered it with black chalkboard paint. Both were a little difficult to work with, but the space turned out great. My nieces / nephews love drawing on the chalkboard. We have a lot of pictures up on the wall as well. I believe I only put done one layer of the magnetic paint and it holds flat lightweight magnets really well. We have a couple of heavier 3D magnets and magnetic clips that are too heavy and just slide down the wall. Hope this helps.

Thanks Zeida! That is a great description. I love that the kids have designated place to write on the walls! How cool. I think I will try a few coats, with hopes it can hold our heavier magnets.

Rich or not, how can this be a value?
