Hey this is not design related but I've been all over the Cook County tax website and I can't find when property taxes are due, I thought someone here would get back to me before someone at the assesor's office. I remember last year they were due September 1st, which is this Saturday. We haven't even thought about it (moving to Europe this weekend, lots to do!) and I don't want to miss the deadline! Anyone know??? Thanks:)

Can someone recommend a resource (book or website perhaps) for someone who wants to learn to do home maintenance, like repairing a leaky sink, and simple construction projects, such as installing a tile backsplash?

I can't help you with the plumbing and construction but if you search on Bob Vila's website I know there is a very comprehensive video demonstration of a tile backsplash install.

I'm looking for this table, (unfortunately only the lamp is for sale). Does anyone know where I can find something like it?

The due date for the 2006 Second Installment has yet to be determined. Several other agencies are working to complete the various calculations that determine the amounts due before the Treasurer's Office can mail the tax bills. The Treasurer's Office will mail the tax bills at least 30 days prior to the due date. The due date will be announced in the media as well as on this Web site.

Has anyone seen the Formica microdot finish in person...or come across any websites with photos of it installed? I am thinking about doing the dark chocolate in my kitchen...but want a better idea of how it looks in a large space.

Does anyone know if anthropologie bedding comes in full size? All I see is twin queen and king - I've tried making do with queen size before and the bedding always looks sloppy.
