i really want to find sarahc to ask her about the paint on this post http://chicago.apartmenttherapy.com/chicago/inspiration/bedroom-mishmash-70s-style-meets-shabby-chic-033685
because i looked it up on behr's website by number and name and it doesn't come up. i think this color would look WONDERFUL in my bedroom and i've been having such a hard time choosing paint that will look good with my dark trim - and this is the first thing i've seen that i think will look perfect!!!
Anyone know how I would dispose of the cabinetry in my kitchen? Do I have to hire a trash removal service? If so, any good recommendations? Thanks!

Hi, Elizabeth. We got the paint at Home Depot. Go up to the paint counter, ask for "Chocolate Froth" by Behr and they can give you a sample and/or make the color for you there. We spent all weekend painting out the trim in our bedroom (with "Innocence" by Behr -- which looks great with the Chocolate Froth.) I'll post pics when we're all done. Good luck with your bedroom!

Does anyone know a good place to drop off used clothes in Chicago? I don't have a car, so the closer to Lincoln and Western, the better.

I'm looking for a nice canister set for my kitchen to save on space and keep my main ingredients super handy and stylish. Any feedback on these 2 canister sets would be appreciated. Does anyone prefer stainless over acrylic or ceramic/earthenware, or the other way around? If so, why? Thanks!!

Catiaelizabeth - when I lived in that area, I used the St. Vincent DePaul drop boxes outside of Queen of Angels church at 2330 W. Sunnyside, between Lincoln and Western. They're located in a church parking lot off of Sunnyside. If you go a little further south, St. Ben's church also has drop boxes in front of it on Irving Park.

You can post your cabinetry on Craigslist under materials. In New York that had a place to donate used building materials and they'd resale I'm not sure if Chicago does that, but they should.

jswadley,
Is there a Habitat Restore in your area?
They will take your cabinets as a donation and sell them to someone in need of cabinets at a reasonable price.
The money then goes to Habitat for Humanity as funds for building supplies, etc.
They may even pick them up from you... I'm not sure.
It's win, win, win!!!

When my family got new cabinets, my uncle turned one into a Halloween costume and went as a kitchen cabinet!
