Practical Adornment.
From 1966 and still looking modern - this wall calendar was designed by Massimo Vignelli, a bold beauty that also is a most useful item.
It is 36x48, so it's a BIG statement, and one that we've never seen looking less than fantastic anywhere.

Usually they sell at Crate & Barrel too, and for half price in January (which is when I bought them).

The Emperor has no clothes. Seriously.
$30 for this? You know you can do better with Excel and the printing help at Kinko's.

I love this calendar but was disappointed when I bought it a few years ago...for those not used to reading a "media calendar" (where the first day of the week is a Monday), it will DRIVE YOU CRAZY!!! As each month passed, I did manage to use all of the large paper to wrap gifts though...very graphic and cool!

for all you "young-uns" out there....
There are several factors that make for a classic.
Be it a White Oxford Button Down collar shirt and Khahkis...
or
an Eames Chair..
or
anything that Massimo Vignelli designed.
Not only is the man(and his wife) a legend in Design circles- his "staying power" is amazing...tell me that a Todd Oldham piece of furniture for TARGET will outlive Graphic Design (NYC Subway maps- Helvetica infused calenders ) such as Massimos!
He's brilliant.
a legend.
and ....a classic.
