Magnetic Calendar

magcov71008.jpgA friend recently passed on this fab DIY calendar, ready for fridge or filing cabinet. It spoke to our inner procrastinator, managing to make even "deadline" look good.

Called Dorogaya, most of the presentation is in Russian so our appreciation is purely visual and visceral. Here's to hoping there's a translation in the works.

One thing we could read: it won a Bronze for calendar graphic design at the Kiev International Advertising Festival '08. Makes us wonder what Gold and Silver look like.

Marcee-ah, you could probably make one using those button making kits they have in the kid's craft section. That kit plus a package of magnets = this kit.

The English at the bottom of the page you linked to is pretty much the translation of what's said at the top, so you're not missing anything.

The calendar is everlasting, so 32 -as they say- is just in case there's gonna be a reform and we're not prepered.

I have a ton of metal closet doors in my apartment - almost entire walls in the living room and bedroom - so this is perfect. And yes, you could easily make them yourself as marble magnets.

Can anyone tell me if the top left red magnet spells Nion but upside down?

LMAO at K T G. I actually think this isn't a bad idea. I'm a pack rat and hated throwing away my calenders because of the great pics so I have so many just cluttered. This could work for someone like me.
