Mailing Tube Storage from Martha Stewart Kids

11-13-07printstorage.jpg We've been looking for a way to store our growing print collection. We have more than we can hang on the walls, but we'd like to keep collecting. We stole this idea from Martha Stewart Kids. Roll up prints and store them in labeled mailing tubes inside a cylindrical trash can (like this one from Umbra). Cardboard tubes aren't archival, so if you need to store something long-term, spring for archival tubes. These aren't too pricey at $4.50 each.

I do this :) Just remember that when you take them out, you should leave them rolled and allow them to relax for a day before you flatten them out again. Better for whatever's printed on them.
