Toy storage that looks like a toy. These colorful, shiny metal storage bins are available online at Target.com. We found them in the Kid's Room section but can easily imagine them working elsewhere - anywhere you have stuff to stow and could use a bit of color. Prices are good: two small bins for $19.99, two medium for $29.99, or one large (rolling!) bin for $19.99.
These look nice *but*
1. I would avoid brightly coloured storage containers for kids - too much visual stimulation in their environment is confusing and stressful, just like for adults.
2. The corners of these are very pointy and could hurt kids and hardwood floors. Kids love playing with their containers so I stick to baskets and crushable laundry hampers, etc.
I saw these in a couple of Targets in Texas about a month ago, so you might be able to find them without ordering online to save shipping costs.
I saw these last night at my local Target on clearance no less, for approximately half off. So if you're itching for them get 'em while the getting's good.
