Organizing With Bulldog and Binder Clips

2-26-08entryway1.jpg

After Elizabeth posted her binder clip display last week at AT:SF, we started paying attention to clip systems, and we've been finding them everywhere. This entryway shown on Emma's Design Blog uses bulldog clips on hooks to hold boots. Labels clipped to baskets identify items on the top shelf. Links and more below.

We found a post on Unclutterer about using binder clips in place of flat files. The idea is that papers are more visible when they're not tucked away, so you have to declutter and deal with them more regularly. Image: No. 2 Task Clips at See Jane Work.

Here's a version of the photo display idea that's so popular it's been circulating the web for 2 years now. Image: Alt Text's Photo Display via Curbly.

Those clips don't leave marks on soft leather?

Metal clips on leather boots.

NO MORE WIRE HANGERS OR METAL CLIPS:>

If you buy your footwear at Ross maybe you wouldn't mind this solution.

It has been said, but that cannot be good for the boots!

Just looking at those clips holding up those boots pains me.

Also: I have some bulldog clips sitting in front of me right now, and I don't see how anyone could get them to clip over two boots like that. Unless the leather is paper-thin.

I like how the clips hold the tags on the baskets

I was thinking the same thing. This setup must have been strictly for the photo, because they would surely mark the boots!

This is a GREAT idea! Cause God knows my boots get thrown in the corner due to lack of space in my closet!

I've also seen pants hangers (the ones with felt lining) used for hanging boots. I am not sold on the clip idea for leather boots, either.

never mind the damage to the boots -- think of the poor beige coat destined to rub against dirty footwear! this must have been set up just for the picture...

a for effort.
