Osaka Boxes from CB2

9-25-07osakaboxes.jpg S, M, L. These Osaka Boxes are so simple, we love 'em. We know we sometimes go a little CB2-crazy on AT, but after we saw these in the store we really wanted to blog them. The quality seems pretty good (they're fairly heavy), and you get that beautiful lacquered-box look for very little money ($4.95 - $19.95). Although the white box might seem a little dull, the glossy sheen goes well with almost any style or color.

Think of these as classic bone china for your desk. We'd dress them up a little with colorful accessories (like a hot pink pencil cup).

The big one would be perfect to put away the remotes in the living room.

just a little more than an inch on the depth 7.5 and the x-large box would have been perfect to hide a stash of printer paper. sigh.

Several years ago I saw similar white boxes (lacquered) at Jonathan Adler but didn't buy. Then CB2 came out with their version in other colors but I never bought any, because they didn't come in white! What took them so long? So last weekend I bought one of these in each size. They turned out to be a perfect solution for my jewelry collection which was scattered around in various bowls, boxes and containers. Now the big box is for necklaces, bracelets and watches; the medium box for rings and brooches; and the small container for earrings. It's nice to get organized :)
